Details:
Clear skies in the early morning on 1st May provided a good view of the Full ‘Flower’ Moon setting through a thin layer of cloud on the horizon behind Chikanga Township to the WSW of Mutare between 5.31 and 5.37 am. This was an exceptionally distant moon (a micromoon) in a far part of its orbit around earth. May is also unusual in there are two Full Moons with a second one on the 31st. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset and manual exposure modes.
