Details:
Did the recent uptick in solar activity affect the comets tail? I was very surprised to see that the tail was no longer as straight but quite distorted and kinked and even disconnected this morning. Here in Missouri the Winds and temps were brutal. Shown here are two views of the comet. One is heavily processed to reveal structure while the other is normally stacked and processed. Notice the lingering leftover aurora and airglow towards the North (left) in the "normal" color version. Nikon D750 with 50mm lens at f/2.8 30-Second Exp - ISO 1000 ioptron Sky Guider Pro
