Details:
The latest splashy comet, C/2025 R3 (PANSTARRS) early this morning.

This one is dishing a lot of good detail, even with way less exposure than planned. This was taken a ways to the east at Two Guns to get away from clouds closer to Flagstaff. For some reason, it seemed like a half hour of set up time would be plenty, but I blame the 2AM wake-up requirement for extra rustiness in setup, balance, alignment, focus, & framing. It took nearly an hour to get that all squared away, so exposures got going just as astronomical twilight was creeping in.

The magnified views are a total of just 10 minutes and still show loads of striations and knots everywhere. Might have to try again tomorrow morning with better lead time.
