Between January 1-31, 2026, 34 (4332-4366) sunspots formed on the sun's surface. One X 1.9-class solar flare occurred during the month. Sunspots were observed to be larger in the southern hemisphere. This photograph is a joint work by Şenol ŞANLI and Uğur İKİZLER. Source: SDO
