Hi, as many lucky people, I could see the bright auroras of january 19-20. I am in France. I photographed several special things... First, like a breach in the aurora curtain happenned at a moment, like a lack of incoming solar electrons in a well defined area (first photo). At another time, the green glow suddenly changed to continuum (second photo), then returned to green... All that isn't so common I guess! Thanks for your kind attention Emmanuel PS : I wrote a very recent book on the observation of auroras in France : "A la découverte des aurores boréales en France"... pour les francophones of course ;)
