"Incredible Geminid Meteor Fireball" December 14, 2025 - 3:17:10 CST Albany, Missouri This is the brightest Geminid Meteor I've ever seen. I still haven't convinced myself that it is truly a Geminid but it sure does line up with the radiant and other nearby Geminids well. This year's shower ranks as the best I've ever seen. The rising Moon is over there on the right, just clearing the trees. The temperature is frigid this morning at 3 degrees Fahrenheit, so I stayed in and live-streamed the event on my Missouri Skies YouTube page. I let the outdoor cameras do the uncomfortable work. Based upon numbers, I believe that we might be on the downward side of the peak, but don't hold me to that.
