Details:
For almost two weeks now the Central Valley has had overcast skies. I was hoping to catch the ISS transiting the solar disk on Wednesday from my location at 9:05am, but the overcast sky dictated my failure. Thought it would be a great shot with such big sunspots groups and the ISS. Been wanting to get a first hand look at these not so active regions. Fortunately this afternoon the sun briefly peaked out. So I thought to grab my iPhone 16 pro and snap a photo hoping to see them sunspots, and to my amazement, they were visible. I’m hopeful there will be clearer skies tomorrow!
