Details:
Comet 210P/Christensen has brightened to magnitude 9.5 with a faint tail 1/4 degree long as observed in morning twilight skies at an altitude of 10 degrees as the comet rose above the Catalina Mountains north of Tucson. 210P made its close approach to Earth on November 8 and was at perihelion on November 22 but was too close to the Suns glare as seen from Earth to be observed. As the comet moves away from the Sun and Earth it should now start to get fainter.
