Details:
During the recent photography expedition I took in Chile with the amazing team at @luzlux, I had the unique opportunity to capture a truly spectacular alignment over one of the most iconic places in the world for astronomical observation. The photograph was taken from 11.2 kilometers away, from another observatory, the private El Pangue Observatory, where, interestingly, this perfect coincidence occurred. That night, a chain of coincidences aligned almost magically: the SWAN comet was right in the heart of our galaxy from our perspective, and I was at the exact spot where the triple alignment Milky Way – SWAN comet – Cerro Tololo reached its peak perfection as the night went on. An unrepeatable moment, difficult to process in days so full of emotions, experiences, and discoveries.
Details: I took a total of 15 photos for the final result: 1 for the landscape (120s exposure) and 14 for the sky (20s exposure per photo), all taken from the same spot, at the same time, and with the same focal length (70mm).
