Details:
Besides being one of the biggest geomagnetic storm recently, the November 11th -12th storm revealed so many surprises as being very colorful and with lots of changes in structures. One structure in particular caught my eye: “THE WATERMELON AURORA” I should call. Shooting with a fisheye lens on one of my cameras, gave me the opportunity to catch such a particular display. Looks like a gigantic, very appetisant and juicy slice of watermelon. Every Aurora show lately never cease to amaze me….and keeps happening… (Northern Alberta, Athabasca County, Canada – November 11-12, 2025, Nikon D850 paired with Nikkor 16mm 2.8 fisheye; 2.5 sec exposure, ISO 2500, 16mm, 2.8).
