On Tuesday night we saw a lot of proton auroras with the naked eye, but the most unusual sighting was what looked like a green "rainbow" aurora. From my timelapse footage it looked like a green arc (unfortunately covered by clouds).
My student Jackson Elliott captured it with his phone and has given his full permission to post these three photos from Tuesday night.
