Details:
Cloudy skies in the north of the UK, but my FLC magnetometer captured the entire event, from CME arrival to following substorm, without an issue. The sensor is inside my house, N/S oriented, with its data filtered to cut the artificial spikes caused by nearby electronic equipment. The second plot shows the signal rate of change. At the same time, the third illustrates the overall activity via the colors that we are accustomed to from other aurora monitoring sources. A great geomagnetic episode, with auroras visible down to the Alps!
