Details:
The Moon's orbit around the Earth is not a circle, but an ellipse. This means that the Moon moves closer to and farther from the Earth. The point where the Moon is closest to the Earth is called the “perigee,” and the point where it is farthest is called the “apogee.” On April 13, 2025, a Micro Full Moon at apogee was observed, and on November 5, a Super Full Moon at perigee was observed. The closest full moon is 14% larger and 30% brighter than the farthest full moon.
