Details:
We’ve seen quite a few meteors over Abisko in recent days, but this one was bright enough to leave a long, clear streak on my AllSky webcam at 22:15 MEZ. The camera is mainly used to monitor auroral activity for guides and visitors, but it also turns out to be an effective meteor detector. With one image captured per minute and a 30-second exposure, the chance of recording a meteor is roughly 50%. It also produces timelapses, keograms and even sends Telegram alerts when auroras appear above Abisko.
