Details:
Bright auroras with reds I could see with my naked eye blew the roof off near Cantwell, Alaska around midnight local time on October 17, 2025 (0800 UT, Oct 18). I took the first three photos in a 10-minute span that was incredulous! The campfire shot is me the night before, waiting for the delayed CMEs to hit and hoping the clouds would part. Not sure if this display was from a bonified CME impact being fashionably late, or perhaps just a good chunk of negative Bz… but it sure was dramatic!
