Details:
Visiting Northern Minnesota. Before going to bed looked at SWPC data and saw there was a very marginal possibility for aurora. Shot a test photo with iPhone 14 pro max out my motel window in Hibbing, MN before going to bed around 11 CDT. Thought I saw something but not sure. My dog woke me up around 3:30 barking at something and I tried to shush her. Decided to look out window again. Now something distinctly green from my north view. Started shooting with phone and this time paid off. Pulled images through Lightroom to bring out the display. Very nice and unexpected.
