Details:
My 2nd attempt at Comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN) from Tarpon Springs Florida over the Gulf, this time with a longer lens on a clear night. The nucleus is quite clear and distinctly green with just a hint of the tail lost in the evening twilight. Looks to be about the same brightness as 86 Virginis below it and to the right, so about magnitude 6. Canon R8, Sigma 150-600mm f5-6.3 C, 600mm, f6.3, 19x5s = 1m 35s total exposure, ISO 1000, 8:15 PM EDT 9/20/2025. Stacked and processed with DeepSkyStacker 5.1.3 and DxO Photolab 8.8 using 10 darks, 10 bias, 10 flats, and 10 dark-flats
