Details:
On the evening of 2025 Sept 16 UT managed to get some images of SWAN25B a little higher above the horizon which produced a cleaner image for the magnitude calculation that will probably make some agree more favorably with the result. Comet SWAN25B now officially known as C/2025 R2 (SWAN) was magnitude 6.2 as calculated from 30x1 second images taken thru no filter in an aperture diameter of 3' in a clear twilight sky at an altitude of 2.4 degrees above the horizon and above the haze. The comet coma was 3' wide and the tail visible was 15' long at a position angle of 120 degrees from the coma.
