Details:
On September 3, 2025, I observed the beautiful long filament on the southwest side of the sun.The object has an estimated length of 880,000 km. That is twice the distance to the moon. With a car traveling at 100 km/h, it would take around a year to drive its length. I can only look up at our mother star with humility, such is its immense size. The structure of the filament had a lot to offer. From diffuse clouds to thin threads to washed-out chromospheric structures at the ends, it had everything.
