Details:
Just after 11 p.m. last night, the Moon rose above the distant ridge, while the Pleiades emerged from its darkened side. Minutes later, a thin cloud drifted by and transformed into a dazzling lunar corona. With increased exposure, the Moon’s darkened side was also clearly revealed. As the Moon met the Pleiades, the corona joined the gathering too—its vivid, intoxicating colors so striking that they stole the spotlight from the stars themselves.
