Pleiades Occultation by the Moon On the early Sunday morning of July 20, 2025, a 25-day-old, 24% illuminated waning Moon occulted some stars in the Pleiades open cluster, or Messier 45, located in the constellation of Taurus. The occulted stars were Taygeta, Maia, Celaeno, Asterope, and Sterope. Canon T7i camera, 18mm, 400mm, and 800mm lenses. Cable release and fixed tripod. Sequence of several photos combining ISO and shutter speed.
