Details:
Mars, presenting an orange-red color, was in conjunction with Regulo, of blue-white color. Both had approximately the same visual magnitude +1.4, separated by 2°.5, in a westerly direction, showing a beautiful contrast of colors and distances. Mars is located about 15.4 light years away, while Regulo is 79 light years away. From our perspective, they appear to be the same distance!
