Details:
The planet mercury visible in these evenings to the west hides a secret. If observed through a telescope in fact it reveals a small crescent difficult to capture. Here is it, bserved on July 2 at 285 magnifications when the planet was about 10 degrees from the horizon.
I tried to look for it shortly after sunset, but due to the low brightness and the strong lights of twilight I was able to find it only 30 minutes later.
In visual observation the shape of the small Moon was very defined. These images instead are a selection of those few moments in which the crescent was quite evident even through the smartphone.
