Details:
On the evening of June 26, the waxing moon – 34 hours after the new moon – set as an extremely narrow crescent. The dark side of the moon was still faintly visible in the evening sky – a phenomenon caused by the earthshine. The dot at the bottom left is the star SAO79653 (+3.56 mag) a few minutes before the lunar occultation.
