Details:
The aurora was faint due to the moon light reflecting from the snow. But the structure of the aurora was still quite visible to the naked eye. The winter season started with rapidly changeable weather. It was lucky to have clear sky and see the aurora after hours of clouds pilling up between the mountains where I stood in the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve. Canon R6 20mm f3.2 2s iso6400 cropped.
