Details:
Despite it being the weekend of full moon, the prospect of an aurora over the next few days filled me with excitement when arriving at my Middlemarch Crib (name for a weekend house here in NZ). The paddocks were full of puddles after a week of rain, which made for beautiful reflections as the sun set as the aurora roared into action. Despite it being Friday the 13th here in New Zealand, and despite it being full moon, the aurora was a keeper! I certainly don't feel unlucky after seeing this amazing display!
