Details:
I imaged the Strawberry Moon at 3:10 AM EST on 06-11-25. The Moon was so low, and do to the height of the trees, I had to image out behind my Manorville, NY Observatory and not inside it.
Please Note:
While a "strawberry moon" itself is not rare (it's the full moon in June), the specific event of the Strawberry Moon being so low in the sky is a rare occurrence. This low position is due to a "lunar standstill," which happens only once every 18.6 years. The 2025 Strawberry Moon is the lowest full moon since 2006 and won't be this low again until 2043.
Kind Regards To ALL :-)
