Details:
I thought there would be no chance because of clouds over the western horizon, but there was a thin clear strip and the very thin crescent Moon peered through it. It was 16 hours old; the New Moon was around 5 AM this morning my local time. A bit of patience was rewarded! Nikon D750 + Nikkor 200-500 at 500 mm, 1/20 s, f/5.6, ISO 1600. Taken at 19:11 UTC.
