Here is the sun in h-alpha from this morning. Here in the USA, we missed the huge prominence that was still visible in Europe. It was gone by this morning in the USA. 102mm f/7 spectroheliograph, ASI183mm camera.
As an aside, it seems like the sun is less active this spring compared to the 2nd half of 2024. I am not keeping track of sunspot numbers, but sunspots lately seem smaller and not active. I was hoping for another peak year in 2025. Maybe we will still get lucky with a second peak.
