Details:
Based on the magnetometers, the biggest storm happened at around 1UT on the 17th. At that time, it was still not dark enough on the east coast. The next came at exactly 4UT (midnight EDST) after some swings in Bz. It was storming for almost an hour but the brightest part was right after midnight.
