This isn't an official cme but I have checked out all the data from other sources and they all appear to confirm that on April 7th at around 15:40 UTC, there was an earth facing solar event. THIS corresponds to this imagery from SEEDS. The imagery shows a full halo (earth directed) cme preceded by a blackout on the lasco satellite. Blackouts are known to occur during powerful solar events. I believe this is an earth directed cme that will be coming to us today or tomorrow.SEEDS gave it a slow speed but due to the enhanced solar wind it could arrive soon. There wasn't any radio burst/emission recorded for this time so it seems there was either no flare or a minor flare. However, there was a C class flare at the same time as this blackout in the linked image. Protons increased quite rapidly during this event. I feel that the data excludes the possibility that this was a far side event. More likely it was a strong earth side event that the satellites failed to capture due to a downage.
