Details:
Doesn’t look like the faint full-halo CME impact last night made world news, but at 62° North latitude in Talkeetna, Alaska we had a pretty impressive display beginning on March 24 at 2:40 am AKDT (1040 UT) until 6 am dawn (aha moment, that was a stretch of all negative Bz). They appeared powerful and flowed like big sets of waves over Denali/Mt. McKinley, the turbulence creating wild & unusual shapes. Occasionally, the hard-to-see colors would pop out. It was a slow-moving display but that made them very camera-friendly auroras!
