Details:
Despite some cloud issues, I was lucky enough to spot Venus on both days around its inferior conjunction with the Sun occurring at approximately 9:00pm EDT on March 22. March 23 conditions were cloudier with more wind than the previous day, but with some perseverance and luck I was able to spot the super thin 1.0% illuminated crescent through my Celestron EDGE C925 SCT. With a significant 8 degree separation from the solar disk, the 360 ring of light was not visible for this event.
