Details:
One of my golden rules is to always look behind me. I had just shot a series of pictures for a panorama and thought it was a good time to check what was happening behind me in the east. There was STEVE, very bright and easy to see with the naked-eye. It took me a couple of minutes to readjust my camera position and snapped a series of shots. Within only a couple of minutes, the purple pink color was lost, and what remained was a wider red arc that stretched from east to west. The series of shots I took showed the changes that occurred over 3 1/2 minutes.
