Details:
I imaged Ganymede's 1st contact before transiting from the right side of Jupiter on 03-19-25 at 9:30 pm EST. The seeing conditions were poor, and the atmosphere was turbulent. You can see the ( GRS ) at the lower right edge of Jupiter. This was imaged from my Manorville NY Observatory. My setup was an EdgeHD 14" Carl Zieas 2x Barrlow / Great Star! ADK UV-VIS-IR Corrector http://greatstar.de/ / Player One Uranus-C Camera with a Baader UV/IR Cut Filter all on an AP1600GTO mount. Ganymede, Jupiter's largest moon and the largest in the solar system is an icy world with a magnetic field, a subsurface ocean, and a thin atmosphere. Kind Regards To ALL 🙂.
