Details:
We were on our first trip to Iceland and stayed in Vik on the evening of the 8th. The Auroras were directly overhead and stretched across the sky. Since we were viewing them through their 'thickness', they were much more intense at times. Even the locals said it was very unusual to see them so bright. The photos were taken with my Pixel 9 in night mode.
