Details:
With just one week remaining until its inferior conjunction with the Sun, Venus is a stunning sight through telescopes. The closest planet to Earth presents a huge, thin disk measuring 58 arcseconds and barely 3% illuminated. This image (taken at 2:35 PM Argentina time / 5:35 PM UT) is the result of capturing, stacking, and processing 400 video frames (selected from 4,000) obtained with my 12" Meade LX90 telescope and a ZWO ASI 385 color camera.
