Details:
Tried to get a photo of Uranus with my friends 8" SCT, I did achieve that but the image of the planet itself was not great.
However we noticed that in some of the photos which we deliberately over exposed we could see some faint blobs close to the planet and the positions exactly matched the locations of the four brightest moons, Titania, Oberon, Umbriel and Ariel. It's nice to see something I have never seen before and did not even realise it was possible to see them, although as I said the image had to be overexposed and I have made some adjustments to the contrast so I am not sure if they can actually be seen other than in photos.
Included a screenshot from Stellarium oriented to correspond with the telescope view. Keep in mind uranus looks bigger than it is due to being overexposed.
