Details:
Still waiting for TCrB to go nova. I prefer to observe it using progressive defocus to split the RGB colours and transverse chromatic abberation from a bend in the light path due to the weight of the camera to juxtapose the resulting light centres. There is a sweet spot where the red and blue of TCrb are side by side and I hope to image how this changes when it explodes. This is explicitly NOT resolving the red giant and white dwarf components but is a pleasing proxy. Equipment 6 inch Skywatcher F5 refractor and Fujifilm Finepix S1 bridge camera.
