Details:
A two image average of the waning gibbous moon taken remotely using the iTelescope network's T72 Planewave telescope located at the Deep Sky site at Rio Hurtado Valley, Chile - MPC X07e. An H-alpha filter was used to reduce the reflected sunlight from the moon's surface. The aperture size of the telescope is 510 mm, focal length is 3411 mm, and f/ratio 6.8. The pixel scale is 0.359 arcsec/pixel. The field of view was not large enough to capture the entire gibbous phase moon. Note the sharp detail along the terminator, including terraced walls and central peaks of large complex craters, lunar rilles, and the Montes Apenninus region.
