Some people say "to see an aurora and die". Well, after yesterday, I think there is always much more to see. Despite the unpleasant cold, I am happy I managed the around-4-hour trip with my friends from cloudy Tromso for clear skies in Finland. The aurora was truly brilliant, however, we were rewarded for our tenacity with even more. A giant herd of reindeer was grazing on a frozen lake that we spontaneously arrived at in a strong wind. In just that direction, the aurora created an incredible view with its "spikes" structure. I have never seen this before and it only convinced me that "to see Aurora" is only the beginning. Used Canon Ra, 50mm, f1.8, ISO 5000, 1/4s (panorama of two images) from tripod.
