Details:
After the Gaia Spacecraft's conclusion of scientific observations earlier this month, ESA has launched a campaign calling on professional and amateur astronomers worldwide to observe Gaia from the ground. Details of this campaign can be found here: https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/gaia/observe-gaia . Figures 1 and 2 are images I obtained through the SPIRIT 3 telescope (arXiv:1807.06188) at ICRAR's Mardella Observatory in Western Australia; Figure 3 shows the path calculated by the GBOT Interactive Tools for Tracking Gaia (https://gaiainthesky.obspm.fr/index_gaia.php?page=FOV&sous_menu=public ); Figure 4 displays the light curve I measured from the images acquired with the SPIRIT 3 telescope.
