Details:
Since last night, Comet Atlas is easily observable with binoculars in the sky over Buenos Aires, Argentina. Honestly, I was surprised at how easy it was to see it in the middle of the evening twilight, and only 5 degrees above the west-southwest horizon. Its coma is very bright and you can see a tail of at least half a degree. I estimate a magnitude of -1. It is an amazing and beautiful comet! This photo was obtained with a small 80 mm refracting telescope and a digital camera. It's a stack of 3 1/10 second shots.
