Details:
Comet C/2024 G3 was captured near Dubai International Airport (DXB), with an aircraft perfectly passing beneath the comet in the frame at just the right moment. This extraordinary observation was made using the Sharjah Astronomical Observatory (SAO-M47) and its 180 mm refractor telescope. The comet's low altitude in the sky provided an opportunity to capture this unique alignment. However, the low altitude also posed challenges for the observation due to the increased airmass, which can affect image clarity and the quality of observation.
