Details:
STEVE was also present on January 1st, 2025. The sky was not properly dark in the western sky. Hence, the images are over-exposed. The first observation of STEVE was at about UTC 15:58, and the phenomenon endured till about 16:34. At about 16.40 UTC there was a vivid auroral display in the area where the STEVE (or SAR) was present. STEVE or SAR? It looks like a typical STEVE appearing alongside the greenish aurora. The greenish aurora is difficult to see on these images because of the bright sky. However, as the sky gradually became more dark the greenish can be seen near planet Venus.
