Details:
SpaceX launched from Vandenberg SFB at 2005 MST 04 December 2024. A few minutes later the rocket was visible from Flagstaff, Arizona.

Images from 2009 through 2011 MST were stacked to show the flight of the rocket. The first stage can be seen just above the trees firing its engines for landing.

Twilight had already ended and the rocket exhaust was not illuminated by the Sun, thus the full envelope of expanding gases is difficult to see.

Note: The original composite was full of satellites and aircraft. I took the artistic liberty to remove these.

Nikon D750, 24mm, ISO 3200, 32x4 seconds.
