Details:
The whole family went outside to view the launch from our driveway in Alhambra at the start of the launch window. We even got a few neighbors to stop and watch for the launch! My son was the first to spot the first stage climbing through trees in our urban horizon to the West. I caught the last second of the first stage burn and then the second stage until we lost it to the southern horizon! Spectacular climb out. It was very interesting to note the different brightness of the upper and lower limb of the exhaust parabola. Is the air thicker for the lower limb, or is emission of light directional? Nikon D7100 at ASA 6400 with an 80-400mm zoom lens. Exposures were 1/6 second. The wiggle in the flight motion blur is due to an underdamped tripod.
