On November 7, 2024 I was filming Venus slowly sinking in the Pacific. Suddenly, a few minutes before the apparent setting time, the shapes and colors of the planet started changing rapidly. It was flashing green and blue flashes. At one point Venus became elongated (miraged). Also interesting to note that although the sun's green flashes, I observed, had never been nearly as big as the sun itself, some of Venus's green flashes were as big as Venus is.
