Details:
Vivid red and pink aurora developed at local dusk lasting 25 minutes. The activity waned to a faint green arc with some upper blue and purple detected in time exposure (not shown). A second outbreak occurred at 22:00 local time resulting in a fine crown. This is the first display I've witnessed over local skies since the October 2003 event, which was brighter and more expansive in comparison. The October 2003 event also featured dancing green curtains and ribbons in the southern sky.
