What a delightful and beautiful sight! On October 22, I drove some 100 km west of Montreal to see if I could achieve better results capturing Comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas than my last foray on October 20. No longer visible to the naked eye, I used the Stelarium app to point my camera in the right direction. Then as my eyes adjusted to the dark, I noticed the Milky Way emerging directly above. Ah what luck! At 70% illumination, the rising moon behind me and the oncoming clouds soon ended my session. It was still a glorious fall evening. These are single photos, not a composite. #1 Nikon D850, Nikkor 50mm prime 10 sec | f/2.8 | ISO 1600. #2 Nikon D850, Nikkor 20mm prime 15 sec | f/2.0 | ISO 2500.
